[Raindrops falling from the sky and splashing down into the nearby river can be heard over the journal network. Someone talking very softly to himself can vaguely be heard over the sound of the rain.]
Where is this place...? Ah, there's buildings over there, I wonder if I should go there first...
[There is a pause as the boy in question stops and opens the journal. The the sound of pages turning mixes in with the rain alongside the quiet voice of someone who doesn't seem to realize the audio is turned on.]

Um, some people called the Malnosso brought you here. [Nodding. ] A lot of new people arrived just recently - usually they show up at the beginning of the month. I think I arrived sometime in the middle or end - I remember some of my friends saying it was unusual.
[ ... then it occurs to her that Ion is only half dressed. Right then! ] We should probably get you a change of clothes before anything else.

A-Ah, that'd probably be for the best. Is there a place where I could find something to wear? I'm afraid I don't have any currency on me...
[Assuming that if he did, he'd even be able to use it, given this is a different world. On that note, how were they even speaking the same language...?]

Mm, everything is actually free in this place, it seems. There's a store not far from the Welcome Center that should have all of your belongings and clothing.

[Ion's face just lit up with a smile.] Really? That's good to hear! I assume that means finding a place to live would be free as well...?
[Living in the forest would be no fun, after all.]

Yes, at least that's how it was with me and my friends. Even furnishing was free! [ Town coming into view more clearly now, and Polka is glad for it. Rain isn't good for frail people like them. And well, living in the forest could be kind of fun in good weather. ]
If you have friends here, I'm sure they'll let you stay with them too.

[He trails off and shakes his head.] I'm sure I'll figure something out!
I'm already considering myself lucky to have met someone friendly right away. I might have still been sitting in the forest, otherwise... [Laughs lightly.]

[ Okay these two totally need to not trail off and hint at their own deaths :D ] Well you can find out if your friends are here, if you leave a message through that book. There's always a possibility - even if they're not here now, they might show up next month when the new New Feathers arrive.
[ She smiles warmly at the last, laughing a bit. ] I'm glad to have been able to help you. The weather's a bit wet right now, and if you had been stuck out there, you could have gotten sick.
[ Still might, but let's hope not. Stay warm Ion! ]

[The thought of seeing everyone again brought a smile back to Ion's face. He didn't respond, instead making a mental note to see more about using this journal later.]
I'm very grateful for your help! I get sick pretty easily sometimes, but I wasn't in the rain for that long. [Humble though he may be, in the back of his mind he was silently praying that this Welcome Center be far warmer than it is outside.]

[ Polka blinks a little in surprise at that - wow, he gets sick easily too? ... ] You do? Well that's just more reason to get you in somewhere warm so you can rest. [ While they don't have electricity yet, the Welcome Center was still warm - they had extra blankets and everything. Polka's pushing open the door to the store now too. ]
This is the general store - do you see any of your belongings here?
[OOC Pff I can see the not!conversation now. 'Hey I died back home.' 'You did? So did I! I get sick easily and collapse when I use my powers sometimes.' 'You do? So do I!' etc etc XD]

[Walks around the store for a bit, glancing at everything with a slight frown. Eventually he spots something of his and smiles brightly; all his clothes are here!] Ah, there they are!
[Holding all his clothes in his arms. He's not going to just strip down and get dressed in the middle of a store, now!] I'm so glad it's all here!

[ He could probably find his weapon in the store too. Polka smiles brightly at the recovered belongings. ] That's wonderful! Is that everything? [ A short laugh, and she beckons. ]
Come on, let's get you somewhere warm so you can change. It's not far, look - [ POintpoint ] That's the Welcome center there.
[Action]
[Sees the welcome center! Then shivers. It's cold!] Ah, that'll be nice... [Smiles back at Polka.] I really can't thank you enough for bringing me here! I'd be pretty lost, otherwise.

You don't have to thank me. There's nothing that makes me happier than being able to help people. [ Especially since a lot of people don't seem to want to 'trouble' her. How is she supposed to fulfill her purpose if people were so secretive? ;o; ]

[They reach the welcome center! And Ion goes ahead and holds the door open for Polka because it's about the only thing he can do, even with his arms full.]

There are a few people who run the Welcome Center - but from what I remember while my friends and I were here... there's a place you can stay until you find somewhere to stay here.

[He scurries over to the room and peeks in to be sure it's empty before getting in and shutting the door. He feels it'd be rude to make her wait, so he rushes; just a bit. In minutes, he's out again, fully dressed and holding the cloak folded over one arm.] That's much better.

Heehe, looks good. You can keep that by the way, [ She points at the cloak ] I got it from the store before I came to get you.

Ion happens to like wearing his mandress.He smiled as he was complimented.]Thank you! [Nothing will ever stop Ion from thanking people, no matter what they tell him! He hugs the cloak in his arms.] If it keeps raining like today, this'll really come in handy!

You're right! But I don't think it'll rain like this much longer. Still, you're really lucky that it isn't cold enough to snow anymore.

Yes, I know that one from experience; my friends and I arrived here in the middle of a blizzard. [ Brr. She brushes at her dress though! ] Anyway, I should let you get some rest. If you need anything, I'm in House #16, okay?
