[Over the past few weeks, Ion had become used to going outside amongst the trees behind House 1 and reading beneath the shade. Lately, the weather hadn't been too nice, so he remained indoors. He had hoped it would have just remained overcast, rather than turn into a full-blown storm! But today the weather had changed, and it was sunny once more. A perfect day to go out around the village!

Although something was a bit off about Ion today. For starters, this was his third day without sleep. He'd been staying in his room at night to avoid worrying anyone, but... well, what was there to worry about? He felt fine, totally refreshed, and so far he'd been keeping himself occupied by reading his books every night with the light on. Although he was a little curious about how he hadn't run out of books yet. Hadn't he read this one already? He thought he did, but he couldn't seem to recall anything about it! And so he spent the last few days rereading the same book for the first time over and over again.

Right now, the little Fon Master is heading towards the library in order to find a new book. That is, he was, until he noticed hey! He never got around to reading this, did he?

...did he?

Now feeling rather confused, Ion stopped and sat on the edge of the fountain for a moment, hoping to straighten out his thoughts.]

[Luceti was still a small village compared to Daath back home. While he didn't know everyone on a personal level, usually Ion could at least recognize them. But the effects of the mushi made Luceti a city of strangers.] Ah, hello.

[Then, after a moment, he adds.] Have we met before?

[...Hmm. Atsuki pauses and thinks about it for a moment - during this time he starts to breathe heavier. He's been doing this a lot lately, for no reason too. Uuugh. But-]

I don't think so. We could start now.

[Ion seems very relieved to hear that. With his memory being so bad these days, he'd hate to think that he's started forgetting people he was friends with!] My name is Ion. And you are...?

Atsuki Saijo. Nice to meet you. [He'll even offer a hand for the guy]

[And he'll return the gesture with a smile.] Pleased to meet you as well, Atsuki.

Were you headed somewhere, or just taking advantage of the nice weather for a walk?

A walk. [But after he says that he coughs a bit. Guh his throat has been so dry lately] I usually like to go around town.

Same here... [He frowns a little at the coughing. At least, he should know that it's coughing, but the way his memory has been coming and going, as far as he knows, Atsuki just made a seemingly random sound all of a sudden!] Are you all right?

Just a bit of dry throat.

[Because he can see that flash of green. Bah, he's putting people in those sorts of situations now]

...

Is that serious?

[Is he serious? Yes, very serious. And he looks sincerely concerned for Atsuki's health.]

[And he shows it in his Shinen. ...That's interesting. Hmm]

Not really; I'll be fine.

[Thankfully, Atsuki's reply doesn't give Ion the impression that it had been such a strange question.] That's a relief...

[Light yellow. That's refreshing. Atsuki coughs again but then nods] Don't mean to worry you.
