007 ~ [Voice/Action]

[Distant mumbling can be heard from the journal.] Nnn, it's chilly this morning... eh? What am I doing outside?

[There's a short pause. Then, a gasp.]

I... I'm back. I'm alive, I...!

[The voice grows louder as whoever is speaking approaches the journal. The voice sounds a little anxious.] Hello? Is someone there? I'm not sure where I've been dropped off. This could be any part of the forest... oh! There's the river!

[There's a soft rustling noise, followed by the pitter-patter of hurried footsteps.] House 1... shouldn't be too far from here... ah, I can see the village now! [The voice cuts off with a soft click as the journal is closed.]

[For those walking around the village, you may notice a certain green-haired new feather quickly making his way through the village with a big smile on his face, as though he knows exactly where he needs to be. He didn't know how long he'd been gone, but just in case, he had to check his old home. Feel free to stop him for a chat! And for those of you in House 1, expect a sudden house guest~]

[closing that distance with a running hug!]

[And Ion hugs right back, tightly, as though he's afraid they'll just be separated again if he lets go. In a few moments, he loosens his grip and finds his voice.]

Anise... I'm so happy to see you, I...! [He laughs faintly; he's not quite sure what to say. The moment he returned, he was afraid he'd missed his chance to ever see Anise again, thinking she could have been sent back as well. But to see her still here, standing right in front of him...!]

[He pulls Anise closer and tightens the hug. He wasn't planning on letting go just yet.]

[Even if he wanted to let go, she wouldn't let him. He's caught in a vicegrip right now. You're not the only one afraid that this is all just an illusion, Ion.]

Y-You're back! You're really back! Oh Ion, I thought I'd... But then maybe... And now you're...! [She sniffles softly.]

You're really here again...!

[...but as awful as he had felt running home, not knowing whether Anise was still in Luceti or not, Anise had lost Ion. And he'd been gone for months. Not to mention, Anise being gone meant being sent home. Ion being gone meant...]

Anise, I... I-I'm so sorry. I wish... I never should have... it must have been so...

[It didn't make much sense to apologize for something that was entirely out of his control, but he couldn't help it.]

[After all, he never even got the chance to say good-bye.]

[Oh Ion, you can't even begin to imagine. Anise finally lets her vicegrip on Ion ease up a little bit, but she doesn't quite let go of him just yet. She does sigh a little into his shoulder, though.]

Don't be silly, none of it was your fault at all! Boo, Ion. I'm just... I'm just glad you're back. [At that, she finally pulls back, and offers him a little smile. She'll be better this time. She'll protect you.]

I'm glad to be back as well. It was... strange. It didn't seem like I was gone at all, but when I woke up it was like I'd been gone for so much longer. It was...

[It was something he really didn't want to talk about, or even think about, anymore. How do you describe being dead when you're alive?]

[Shaking his head and deciding to push those thoughts away, he mirrored Anise's smile and grabbed her by the hand.] Let's go home, Anise.

[She laughs lightly at that. Home. It still felt a little strange referring to House 1 as home, but nothing else quite comes close.]

Yeah! It'll be so nice having you back again, Ion! I've really missed you, and Guy and Nephry and everyone else will glad to see you again!

[Picking up the bags he dropped earlier, too. Can't let those get dirty!]

[Considering Ion's only other place of residence was being locked up in the Cathedral by Mohs, House 1 as home made perfect sense to him!]

I've already seen Nephry. I went straight home as soon as I realized what had happened. When I heard you were out, I decided to get some things at the shops... although I had to borrow something from Dist for the time being.

[And while Anise may have grabbed both the bags, Ion is going to be insisting on carrying one himself! ...if only so they can still hold hands while they walk back because he missed his bff~]

[Oh, but the hand-holding is a definite given! As far as Anise is concerned, Ion is not leaving her sight for as long as she can help it.]

[... But the mention of Dist makes her blink in confusion.]

This is Dist's? Well, no wonder it's so big on you... [But why isn't it all sequined and pink?]

[Anise, can you imagine Ion in anything sequined and pink? ~~Don't worry, I'll draw it for you ok no~~]

Well, there wasn't anything else for me to wear that wouldn't be women's clothes, since my room was empty... I know they empty it out when we leave, but I guess it'd be too much to ask for them to return everything if we get brought back.

Yeah, your room was all cleaned out when you left. [Anise just holds onto Ion's hand a little tighter. That day was - it wasn't a very pleasant day.]

Well, that just means we can get you a lot of new stuff, then! It'll be fun! [Shopping! For free!]

[Ion notices her grip tighten, but says nothing of it. That day was something neither of them should be thinking about right now.] Yes, that sounds great. I got a few things down in the shop just now, but with winter coming up, I should probably get some heavier clothing as well.

...does it get very cold here in the winter? [This is the boy who caught colds during the summer, after all.]

[Anise is already making a mental note to get him a thicker coat.]

It does! Well, I mean, I've only had one winter here... but it was pretty cold! Kinda like Keterburg. There was even this really huge blizzard... I got stranded in simon's house, that time!

Stranded...? It was really that bad?

[Translation: much colder than Daath. Forget the coat, he'll just be hibernating until the spring!]

Yeah! The blizzard got so bad, we had to wait a night before we could even try and get out!

The winter here's fun, though! Hopefully it doesn't get that bad or anything.

I hope so, as well. A little snow is fine, but a blizzard... [If Anise got stranded somewhere, Ion would get all worried! Even if she could handle herself much better than he could in those conditions...]

[Still, it didn't snow in Daath very much, and when it did, he always had to stay inside. He pauses for a minute before he's struck with a rather random idea.] Say, Anise. If it snows this winter, do you think we could have a snowball fight?

A snowball fight? [Anise pauses to think about it. Ion, you get sick so easily that she almost says no right there, but.]

Sure, why not? It'll be lots of fun! Especially if we get our friends into it!

[Aww, Anise, look at the big smile you just brought to Ion's face.]

That's what I was thinking as well! I've never really played in the snow before, and it just sounds like it'd be a lot of fun.

[What? What is this "childhood" of which you speak?]

[And really wet, actually! They'll just have to make sure he doesn't get sick afterwards. ~~watch them fail at this~~]

I bet it is! And oh, Ion, I think the school's going to open again soon! We can go attend some classes! ♥

[If he doesn't get a cold from playing in the snow, he'll get one from staying up all night in anticipation for the snowy day ahead~]

School? I don't believe I ever went when I was here last time... [~~/delinquent!~~] What sort of classes do they have there?

A lot! Maths and sciencey things that are actually kinda boring... Art, if you like that kinda thing. PE is a lot of fun, though! Oh, and if you wanna learn about the magic around here, they have classes for those, too!

I don't think any of that sounds boring at all! Math and science are important to learn, after all, and learning about magic sounds rather useful... er, though I'm not sure how good I'd be at PE...

Well, I guess it's different for everyone... But it's still pretty fun, anyway! At least, it's nice to go with everyone.
