[After accidentally getting caught in the downpour on Wednesday, Ion was pretty sure he was getting a cold. No, scratch that, he was pretty sure he had a cold, but he had been trying his very best to supress it. Summer had only just ended, and catching a cold already was just so...!]

[Well, it was annoying, that was for sure! Although he made it through one day as usual, the next day wasn't looking as promising: a cough and a fever. That meant being stuck in bed for the next few days, at least. That is, unless there was something he could do to try and hurry things along!]

Er, does anyone know any good remedies for getting over a cold? Preferably ways to get over it faster?

[He probably should have boosted that filter up, but he didn't really think Anise wouldn't realize he was sick; she knew him too well. But at the very least, she'd keep from figuring it out until he didn't get up for breakfast!]

How are you feeling, Fon Master? Is there anything I can do for you?

Nephry, good morning. [A smile.]

Actually, a cold compress would be nice, if you don't mind.

Good morning. [a return smile] I'll get one for you. Would you like anything to eat? It's no trouble to bring you breakfast in here.

To be honest, I haven't much of an appetite. Though, I think I'll try and eat something around lunchtime. [Since not eating at all won't make him better; just hungry.]

[she leaves, and returns with the compress and a glass of water.]

Is this common for you, with a cold?

Unfortunately. Even a cold can knock me down for awhile, since my body isn't very strong.

[He gratefully takes both, setting the water aside for now and pressing the compress to his forehead with a small sigh.] Thank you, Nephry.

It's understandable. I'll try to keep Anise from being too worried.

[She gently adjusts that compress and pulls his blankets up a little]

If you're not feeling noticeably better by this afternoon, I'll see about getting Professor Nebilim here. I'm not sure how much she can do for a fever, but a real medical opinion would still be useful.

[D'aww Ion's being pampered. He was used to it with Anise, but Nephry was a little different... not that it wasn't still nice, of course!]

I don't think that's... [Necessary? Maybe, maybe not. He's not sure what effect dying in Auldrant and being brought back in Luceti had on his overall health, after all.] ...ah, on second thought, that sounds like a good idea.

[Ion is one of those people for whom Nephry is never sure where her boundaries are. He's their religious figurehead, but he's also a (very mature) 2-year-old boy, and even more so, her friend.]

She'll be at school until later, either way.
