[After being flung into countless numbers of trees from the third party's traps during the last draft, Ion swore to himself he'd never climb another tree for as long as he lived. Obviously, he didn't count on finding a baby bird having fallen out of its nest when he made that declaration. And with the mother bird calling for her child overhead, Ion couldn't just leave the poor thing there to die.]
[Thankfully, getting to the top of the tree where the nest was had been surprisingly easy! Getting down... not so much. He didn't notice the lower branch breaking until after he stepped off of it, and now that he was on his way down, he found himself stuck. He wasn't too high up, but this particular tree had quite a few thorn bushes around it. He'd been able to avoid them going up for the most part, but if he were to try jumping, the chance of him falling into one of these bushes was rather high. He wasn't too far off the path, just a ways north of the village, so hopefully someone will spot him.]
[Though, in restrospect, today was probably a bad day to wear green.]
~
[Assuming the princess is eventually rescued, Ion will be spending the remainder of the day at the library in search of a few new books to read before eventually returning home, his clothes still looking a bit worse for wear.]
[[ooc: Feel free to break time and space for the first part, or run into him walking towards the library looking... well, like he fell out of a tree.]]

[Nevermind potential for brain damage: Angry Dists™ were far more dangerous.]
[Action]
[Jeez.]
[Action]
A little pain and suffering is good for the soul! You gotta learn that before you can stop being a sissy.
[Action] 1/2
[With a deep breath and a nod, he shifts himself to where he's right above one of the less-thorn-covered patches...]
[And jumps.]
[Action] 2/2
[Of course, only a second after that, his knees buckle out from under him and he has to catch himself, getting an armful of thorns in the process.]
[But to his credit, he doesn't make a sound.]
[Action]
Uhh... you okay there?
[Action]
Well, done, my pupil! This is an important first step for you.
[Action]
[But when he pulls up his hands up, one string of thorns comes up with it, the spikes having dug into his palms. He manages to pull it off, but that only makes it hurt.]
...d-do either of you happen to know healing magic?
[Action]
Sorry. I tried, didn't work out. [He does have some bandages and medicine in his bag. Because that's how Sokka makes up for his lack of powers - being super prepared.]
[Action]
Sorry. Not my thing.
[Action]
[He only intended to heal his hands, but controlling the size of his artes was always a bit more difficult in Luceti. As he presses his palms together and summons the seventh fonons necessary for healing, most of the cuts on his forearms disappear as well. Healing spells didn't take as much energy as defensive spells, but as the glow of the spell fades away, he still feels a little lightheaded. A bit breathless too, but at least his hands didn't sting anymore!] Th... there...
[Action]
Though how many healers wind them self after only one spell?]
So... that wasn't that bad.
[Action]
See? No harm done. And you've gained a few manliness points. A few.
[Action]
I suppose it wasn't. Though if I ever have to climb a tree again, I hope there won't be any thorn bushes nearby to fall into...
[Manliness points were nice and all, but falling into thorn bushes seemed more foolish than manly.]
[Action]
You wouldn't have lost manliness points for pointing out the thorn bush, you know. I could have taken care of that. [It's why he keeps so many sharp and pointy objects on him.]
[Action]
Well, if you're fine now, mind telling us why a baby bird was a big enough deal to climb a tree for?
[Action]
[He frowns.] The bird was too small to survive on its own. And the mother was so distraught... I couldn't just leave it there to die.
[Action]
[So, you know, maybe this whole thing was entirely unnecessary.]
[Action]
Yup. That baby bird was probably just like you. Needed a little extra push to toughen up.
[Look at that! Perfect analogy.]
[Action]
[The animals in Luceti could talk, after all. They couldn't say much, but "Help" was pretty universal.]
[Action]
[Though he's willing to accept maybe Ion was actually helping.]
[Action]
Well, whatever. The point is, you're out of the tree now.
[Action]
Yes. Thank you, both of you. I would have been at a loss if I had fallen and injured myself with no one around.
[Action]
Injured...? You didn't break your legs, Ion! You would have just walked to town. It's not even that far!
[Action]
Yeah, seriously? Thorns aren't exactly like threatening. You're gonna need to get used to rocks coming at your head when you're in my class.
