Why, the girl he was talking about, of course! She's been returned from the AU-equivalent of a kidnapping and was dumped right on top of him, both of them in plain sight of the journal's camera!]

AU STUFF: Ion works in the Church as an alter boy, so if your character is the church-going type, they probably at least know who he is. Additionally, if your character has any sort of relationship with Ion, they probably know exactly who he's talking about (Ranka) because their feelings for each other are obvious to everyone except themselves.]

Ion... you just have to go up to here, glance off at something two feet to her right, and then casually say. "Oh hey Ranka, there you are. This festival is pretty lame, huh? We should hang out."

Why would I call the festival "lame"? Especially if I was the one to invite her to go with me...

[Not only that, but insulting the Great One's festival at all? Blasphemy!]

Because. Look, if you think the festival is lame, do you know what that means? It means you're so cool and awesome that the festival is, by comparison, not nearly as cool as you. And since everyone loves the festival and how awesome it is, just think about how that will make you look!
